Hi,

Yes, I will tell anyone who asks me how to unlock it,
but I don't want the answer posted on any forums or
re-released with the X-Flash package.
The idea is to keep it a secret from people on forums
where the application is not supposed to end up.

To bypass the power cable request is not supposed to
be a regular thing. I only added the escape because
someone posted that they have a broken ac adaper.

When the screen says "INSERT POWER CABLE TO CONTINUE",
Press Joystick Right, wait forever until asked to press joystick Left,
Then the program will continue to enter the menu.

The secret function is the ability to save any mp3 to flash0.
flash0 is reported on ps2dev.org forums to have 24Mb allocated for it,
and the firmware files for flash0 only consume 12.5Mb.

http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=1811&highlight=lflash
"i've dumped the lflash device and it seems that there are four fat-12 partitions on it:
0x00000000...0x017FC1FF (~24MB) flash0 files
0x01800000...0x01BFC1FF (~4MB) flash1 files
0x01C00000...0x01CFC1FF (~1MB) no files
0x01D00000...0x01DEC1FF (~1MB) no files"

This would indicate that there is about 11.5 Mb of free space left
on the flash0 device, but don't quote me if I'm wrong, that's just
what I've read. I have personaly tested the feature by writing a
single mp3 of 3.66Mb size and that works fine.

To unlock this feature, Go to the Settings area of the XMB menu,
and change your nickname to "Art" (must have a capital A).
Start X-Flash, when you are in the menu, press square to
get to the credits screen. Press Triangle, and you will see a message.
Then the option is unlocked, but only while your PSP nickname is Art.

Press Circle over the menu option to save a song in your PSP/MUSIC
directory (must be named Song.mp3) to flash0.
Press Cross to restore the song from flash0 back to your PSP/MUSIC directory.
I don't know what would happen if you copied over a very large mp3 file.
When a song is stored in flash0, you can delete it from within PSP/MUSIC,
and restore it whenever you like. This is a novelty feature only.
X-Flash doesn't currently delete the file from flash, it can only replace it
with another file. Having the filename Song.mp3 doesn't affect the title that
appears in the XMB music player since the PSP aquires the song title from mp3
attributes, not the file name.
Cheers, Art.
